Description

I am a private Collector from Rome, Italy and I have decided to sell some of my items to this Auction.

You are bidding on a very rare a heavy oversized body: "RUBINA Sixteen Model II" . There is enough resemblance in name and form between the Rubina Sixteen Model II and Rubix cameras to imagine that they were made by the same manufacturer. Be that as it may, the Rubina Sixteen is attribuated to the Tokyo Koki Company, and not the Sugaya Optical Company, makers of the Rubix series. Its f3.5/25mm. Ruby C Anastigmat lens and between the lens shutter are very like that of the later Rubix cameras. Even the top plate has the same rounded slant as that of the Rubix. The film size and resulting image are exactly alike. It may be that the Rubina Sixteen Model II is actually the Rubix Model II, but made for export to the USA. These cameras are marked "Made for the Mycro Camera Co. Inc NY" . It could then be that the exporter put its company name on the camera, leaving no trace of the actual manufacturer. This subminiature camera  it comes with his original cassette for 50 exposures is taking 16 mm film and leather case  in near mint condition.: A/B. .  Year: c.1950 .

A Must addition to your collection.
