Another great item on sale from my Private Collection : Waterhouse Stops. These Diaphrams invented by Col. Waterhouse consisting of thin plates of metal, each pierced with a hole of different diameter, placed in a slot in the lens mount so that the centre of the hole coincided with the axis of the lens. 

I am offering for Auction two different Set of  Five Waterhouse Aperture Stops in a very good condition and they comes in original leather case, dating it to 1880.

1st) This is a Set of Six Waterhouse Aperture Stops in a very good condition and they comes in original leather case, dating it to 1880.

These Slides are 31.mm wide and 40.mm lond without handle or 52.mm long with handle. I will classify (call it ) as Small Size :

1) Handle # 1  / Hole diameter  7.mm

2) Handle # 2  / Hole diameter  10.mm

3) Handle # 3  / Hole diameter  13.mm

4) Handle # 4  / Hole diameter 20.mm

5) Handle # 5  / Hole diameter 23.mm

6) Handle # 6  / Hole diameter 28.mm

All stops are in Ex or 9 of 10 cosmetic condition. No dents or dings. Perfect for older DAGUERREIAN Brass Barrel lens.  I have more BRASS Barrel  Lenses : Large Format :  bigger than these , all Original vintage Waterhouse. 

 

2nd) These Slides are  43.mm wide and  54.mm lond without handle or 67.mm long with handle. I will classify (call it ) as Medium Size :

3) Handle # 3  / Hole diameter  14.mm

4) Handle # 4  / Hole diameter  20.mm
