Description
A rare piece of photographic history and would be a great addition to any Collection: a Wollaston type " Camera Lucida " made around 1890 by
" P. Berville "
The brass instrument is complete and in excellent condition, virtually unused condition with bright original brass lacquer, showing no corrosion or damage. The double extending telescopic arms are complete and work properly, as does the base clamp which is engraved " Chambre Claire Universelle Brevettee en France et à l'Etrangere " .
It is housed in its original velvet lined, wooden box, with silk head lining also marked P.Berville.The Box is in very good order. Approximately overall size 8,5 ins. (22 cm.) extending to 14 ins. (36 cm.)
