Description
You can notice that the front element used when the lens is utilize as " Landscape " as " Paysage " and on the other side " Portrait " .
The lens is in brass " pill-box " which replace the cone (which must be removed) and then the entire lenses is reversed in the mounting flange so that the "pill-box" is facing the scene photographed.
The lens, which is called " Cone Centralisateur "is dated 1860's.
This lenses is scarce and difficult to find in this fine condition with its original " patina " and a real valuable item .
This lens is focusing by rack and pinion with a Petzval scheme. You are bidding on a brass-bound Conical Lens n° 25539 engraved
