I am a private Collector from Rome, Italy and I have decided to sell some of my items using this Auction. 

It is offered a rare, large, original, period advertising broadside printed circa 1850s, advertising the itinerant daguerreotypist photographer E. S. Hayden. It measures approximately 10 x 12 inches in size (30x25 cm). This is an original broadside, printed on a single large sheet and intended for posting on walls, trees, etc.. Broadside is unused, blanks were left in the printed text for filling in the current location by hand before posting. A fine example of 19th century advertsing printing, will look beautiful in an old frame. A group of these was discovered about 10 years ago, perhaps leftovers at the printers or never used by Hayden, and I was happy to acquire a group at that time from the person who found them.

CONDITION: Overall excellent, some normal age darkening or "patina," a light stain bottom right corner and minor wear at edges - see scan. No folds or other damage.

" SPLENDID DAGUERREOTYPE MINIATURES, TAKEN IN EVERY STYLE, BY E. S. HAYDEN, Who would respectfully inform the inhabitants of ... that he has taken Rooms in .... and is now prepared to take LIKENESSES of all who may favor him with a call. His Miniatures are warranted not to be surpassed by any, for their richness of tone and life-like appearance; standing out in such bold relief, that they can be seen equally well in any light. All those wishing a perfect likeness of themselves, or of their friends, would do well to call soon; confident that neither the Pictures nor the Price will fail to suit. Paintings and Engravings ACCURATELY COPIED. Persons are invited to call and examine Specimens. // American Office--Print--Waterbury, CT."
